BEDDING WASH AND PRESS FULHAM

Free Collection & Delivery | Pressed Flat Finish | Open 7 Days

Most people in Fulham know they should wash their bedding more often. The problem is actually doing it. King-size duvet covers barely fit in a home machine. Sheets take hours to dry. Ironing a fitted sheet is nobody's idea of a good time. Our bedding wash and press service in Fulham takes the whole job off your hands. We wash your sheets at the right temperature, dry them properly, and press them flat so they feel like hotel linen when you put them back on the bed. Drop them at our shop on Fulham Road or book a free collection. As part of our full laundry service in Fulham, we have been looking after bedding for Fulham households for over 30 years.

How Often Should You Wash Your Bed Sheets?

Bed sheets and pillowcases should be washed every one to two weeks. Duvet covers should be washed every two to four weeks.

  • Your body sheds dead skin cells every night while you sleep

  • Sweat and body oils soak into the fabric over time

  • Dust mites feed on dead skin and multiply quickly in warm bedding

Washing bedding regularly removes all of this. It keeps your bed fresh, reduces allergens, and helps you sleep better. If you have allergies or asthma, washing weekly makes a real difference.

In London, flats can run warm — especially in summer or with the heating on. Bedding absorbs more moisture in these conditions, which means it needs washing more often than you might think. A regular bedding wash and press takes the guesswork out of it.

What Our Bedding Wash and Press Service Includes

There is an important difference between wash and press and a standard service wash. With a basic service wash, your bedding goes through the machine, gets tumble dried, and comes back folded. It is clean, but it is not pressed.

With our wash and press service, we go further. Every item is washed, dried, and then pressed flat on a professional press. The result is smooth, crisp bedding with no creases — the kind of finish you get at a good hotel.

We accept:

  • Flat sheets and fitted sheets

  • Pillowcases and bolster cases

  • Duvet covers (single, double, king, super king)

  • Oxford and housewife pillowcases

This service is popular with families near Parsons Green and Chelsea Harbour. Larger beds mean larger bedding, and larger bedding is harder to manage at home. We have the space and the machines to handle it properly.

If you also need your everyday clothes done, you can combine bedding with a wash and fold laundry order in the same drop-off.

How We Wash and Press Your Bedding in Fulham

We treat every set of bedding based on what the fabric needs. Here is the process.

  • Check. We read the care label on every item. Cotton, polyester, poly-cotton, and linen all need different handling.

  • Wash. Cotton bedding goes in at 60°C. This is the temperature needed to kill dust mites and remove bacteria properly. Poly-cotton and polyester go in at a lower heat to protect the fibres. Linen bedding gets a gentle cycle to avoid shrinkage.

  • Dry. Items are tumble dried at the correct temperature or air dried for fabrics that need it. We do not overdry — that causes shrinkage and makes cotton feel rough.

  • Press. Each item goes through our flat press. This smooths out every crease and gives the bedding a clean, finished look. Fitted sheets are pressed and folded neatly so they stack flat in your cupboard.

  • Package. Everything is folded and wrapped so it stays fresh until you put it on the bed.

You can drop your bedding at 484 Fulham Road — a short walk from Fulham Broadway station — or book a free laundry pickup and delivery and we come to your door.

Bedding Types We Accept and How Each Is Handled

Not all bedding is the same. We adjust our approach based on the fabric.

  • Cotton sheets and pillowcases. The most common type we see. Washed at 60°C, tumble dried, and pressed flat. Cotton handles high heat well, so we can wash it thoroughly without damage.

  • Polyester and poly-cotton blends. These go in at 40°C. Higher heat can damage the synthetic fibres and cause pilling. We press at a lower temperature to keep the finish smooth.

  • Linen bedding. Linen is strong but it shrinks if treated roughly. We wash on a gentle cycle at 40°C and press carefully. Linen will always have a slightly relaxed look — that is part of its character — but pressing removes the deep creases.

  • Silk and delicate bedding. Silk cannot go through a standard wash. Water and heat will damage the fibres. If you bring in silk pillowcases or sheets, we route them to our specialist dry cleaning service instead. The same goes for any bedding with beading, embroidery, or delicate trims. Items like silk garments and silk bedding both need solvent-based cleaning to stay in good shape.

  • A note on duvets. The duvet itself — the padded inner — is a separate service from duvet covers. Duvets need specialist cleaning due to their filling. We handle those too, but they are not part of the standard bedding wash and press.

Removing Stubborn Stains From Bedding

Bedding picks up stains that home washing often cannot shift. Sweat yellowing on pillowcases. Makeup marks on sheets. Coffee or tea spills. Children's accidents.

We pre-treat stains before every wash. Our team checks each item as it comes in and spots marks that need extra attention. A targeted pre-treatment before the main wash cycle gives the stain the best chance of coming out completely.

What to do at home before you bring it in. If you spill something on your bedding, blot it with a clean cloth straight away. Do not rub — rubbing pushes the stain deeper into the fibres. Then bring it to us as soon as you can. Fresh stains are always easier to remove than old ones.

For deeply set marks that have been through the home machine without coming out, we may suggest our dedicated stain removal service. That gives the stain individual, hands-on treatment rather than just going through a standard wash cycle.

Cotton bedding is washed at 60°C to remove dust mites and bacteria. Polyester, poly-cotton, and linen are washed at 40°C to protect the fibres.
